In December 2017 and January 2017 there will be three supermoons 🙂  And supermoon is a full Moon that approximately conicides with the closest distance between Moon and Earth. I made the picture below on December 3rd, 2017 at 10pm CET. At that moment Moon was 352,000 km away. The actual phase of the Moon at the picture is 99.9% – it is slightly after Full Moon. Next supermoon will happen on January 2nd, 2018, and another one in January 31st, 2018. This last event will be also so called Blue Moon. And Blue Moon is pretty rare case, when two Full Moons happens in the same calendar month. In this case second one is called Blue Moon.

So remember the date January 31st, 2018 – Full Moon, Supermoon and Blue Moon in the same time 🙂
